Bill's Comments

Okay, here's where I go against all the press and the box office receipts. I didn't really like this movie. The scenery was beautiful, the special effects were sophisticated, but the story did nothing for me. There is no character development and the story goes from one battle scene to another. I really just couldn't find any reason to care who got killed and who didn't. I sat in my seat just waiting for the movie to end. The only acting I saw that impressed me at all was Ian McKellen. It's a pretty safe bet that you won't find me at the 2nd and 3rd installments of this trilogy.
