Bill's Comments

Another end of the year great movie! An excellent cast of stars and a very good drama. It's truly a shame that they save all these good flicks until the end of the year. For much of the year I was having a difficult time finding a movie to see, now I'm having a hard time getting to them all. Kevin Spacey is his usual excellent self in this role. Although Cate Blanchett's part is pretty small, she has convinced me that she has a much larger range than I previously thought. Julianne Moore also showed more diversity than I have previously seen. Scott Glenn has never been the "Leading Man" type, but continues to turn in excellent work in supporting roles. I think that the first time I saw him was as the "bad guy" in 'Urban Cowboy'. I've seen him a dozen times since then and he's always very good! The movie is serious, but sometimes funny and tells a good story. It will probably get some Oscar mention when the time comes.
