While most of the critics are rating this movie as mediocre, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It had a lot of hype and it's always difficult to live up to that. It's not the best movie I ever saw, but it is very good historical entertainment. Even though the love story is contrived and sappy, I'm a sucker for such things. The history seems pretty accurate and well depicted. |
