We heard about "Sarge" on the Boxer-Friends
Mailing List. His previous owner surrendered him to the PetNetwork
in North Tahoe, CA, because he did not have the time to spend
with him. Over the holidays, the kennel where "Sarge"
was staying was going to be filled with paying customers and he
needed a place to stay. We decided to foster him until we could
find him a permanent, loving, caring home where he'd be spoiled
rotten!

After searching and searching, we finally found the
PERFECT home for Sarge. He is now living with one of my (Dena's)
co-workers and his family. His new family calls him "Cassius
Clay" and he lives with two children - a 10 year old boy
and a 14 year old girl. "Cassius" now has four wonderful,
loving people to take care of him and to spoil him rotten.
At first, I thought it was going to be super hard to
give him up after spending nearly four weeks with him, but once
we found the perfect family for him, it wasn't too hard to say
goodbye. I know he is going to be spoiled and taken care of very
well.
This was our first experience with fostering and Boxer
Rescue. If any of you have a chance to be a foster family, it
is a very rewarding experience, and I highly recommend it. Also,
if any of you are considering adding a Boxer to your family, I
think Boxer Rescue is the way to go.
